What’s on with idodance? We have many opportunities for you to put into practice what you have learnt at class.

Practice Session

A Saturday morning session provides 2 hours of non-stop music. During this time 3 or 4 consecutive tracks of the same style of dance will be played, to enable you to repeat and perfect what you have learnt in class. Our Practice Sessions include Waltz, Quickstep, Slow & Social Foxtrot, Ballroom Tango, Argentine Tango, Rumba, Cha Cha Cha and Rock & Roll.
The idodance Team will be on hand to guide and assist you, please do ask for our help.

Held at The Perranwell Centre, Perran-ar-Worthal, near Truro.
Doors open 9:15am
Dancing from 9:30 – 11:30am
Pay on the door £8 per person – card payment only please

We also offer a Practice Evening during the Summer break.

Argentine Tango Practice Evening

A Friday Evening session provides 2 hours of non-stop music. During this time we play a selection of traditional, modern, and Tango Vals tracks to enable you to repeat and perfect what you have learnt in class. The idodance Team will be on hand to guide and assist you, please do ask for our help.

Evening Social Dance

Use your dancing skills and meet up with friends at a Saturday Evening Social Dance. Enjoy two and a half hours of dancing to our carefully selected playlist of inspiring and popular music.
Tea, coffee and biscuits are served during the half time interval. You are welcome to bring other refreshments, including alcohol if you wish!

Afternoon Tea Dance

Join us and fellow dancers at a Sunday Afternoon Tea Dance. We’ll bring you a varied, uplifting, hand picked selection of music for dancing and freshly baked cakes with Tea & Coffee. A perfect combination for your enjoyment!

Special Events

The idodance Calendar offers Special Themed Events during the year.
The Team transform the venue and we all put on our glad rags for a spectacle of colour and sound!

Previously we have held a Summer BBQ Ball, a Halloween Fright Night Ball and a ‘Bubbles & Cuddles’ Ball on Valentine’s Day. Our most coveted event of the year is our Christmas Ball. Themes have included ‘Let it Snow’, ‘Jingle all the way’ with the Perran-ar-Worthal Hand Bell Ringers and ‘A Christmas Carol’ featuring a performance by local Carol Singers.

All Special Events tickets are available in advance on a first come, first served basis.

Torquay Dance Weekend

Our annual Social Dance Break is the highlight of our Dance calendar! Places are highly sought after and sell out quickly! Its a long  weekend break away from home.  Enjoy with us the hospitality and facilities of the Victoria Hotel, Torquay.

The package includes 3 nights Bed, Breakfast and Evening Meal, Social Dances with exclusive use of the magnificent Warwick Ballroom, Dance Workshop, Live Music and full use of the Hotel’s leisure facilities. Soak up the sun, relax by the pool, book a pamper session at the Spa, explore the coast and countryside of the beautiful English Riviera -its a full programme of dancing, socialising, fun, sun and relaxation.
